“Video response”is a popular online response method where consumers directly react to contents and publicize reactions by creating a video clips. These direct reactions sometime are commentary in front of a web camera, or more often are reenactments the original contents. Therefore one of the distinctive traits of this new model of content generation, a.k.a user generated content is that it is reactionary to source. This project elevates the common online-video generation and meanwhile recontextualize its process by bringing it into a studio setting and as a crew production with High Definition cameras. The video is a response to American news reports about China managed to increase panda birth rate by having pandas watch videos pandas mating. The panda experts in China had “taught” a new way of socializing behavior these sexually shy animals.

“视频回应”已成为流行的网络回应方式。用户直接用录象视频对内容进行反馈。这些反馈行动有时是在摄像头前评论,或更多的是对原材料的重新演绎。因此这种新的内容生产方式,又称 “用户生产内容” 的其中一个特点, 是对来源内容的条件反射。”熊猫快递” 这件作品把这种普遍的网络录象生产方式的思维方式再情景化于工作室的环境中由高清晰摄像机组制作。”熊猫快递”录象对美国新闻报道关于中国让熊猫观看熊猫做爱录象来提高其受孕率作出回应。 据称中国的熊猫专家已教会了这些性畏缩动物一种新的社交方式。录象中,两名身穿熊猫服装的女性演绎所谓的熊猫色情片。
