“Don’t Talk About Politic” references the torch relay of 2008 Beijing Olympic game and the debates arise internationally on Chinese politic and democracy during this event. The video installation presents the conflicting dualism the artist encountered and experienced as her staying in China in the mist of the events were progressing. The sense of dualism are patriotism and individualism; collectivism and selfness. They are revealed in each of the videos and also in the relationship between the two videos.
The videos constituting the installation are: the rehearsing and performing of a girls dance group the artists recruited to performed as cheerleaders team; during the torch relay in Guangzhou the line up of local police and military waiting for the flame to arrive.
