New York Art

Filed under: travel — Lu @ 11:26 pm

The weather in New York is still felt cold. Most of my memories in this city happened in the cold weather. Now even revisiting after three years it was also in a cold winter. I guess the best part about New York is no matter how long you live there you can still feel it is mysterious and big. It’s a perfect city where bat man, spider man and all the other super heros will live a normal life. The second best thing is all the art shows you can see. That’s probably one of the things I miss the most.

Maybe it’s the economy, the shows on view were relatively low key and small scale, from galleries to museums, mostly were photography and painting shows. Here are some places I visited.

First time seeing New Museum’s new building in Bowery.

The sky room on the top floor of New Museum gives a respectful view of the neighborhood.
